A Thoughtful Approach to Pricing

Allensworth Eyecare operates outside of vision insurance. By removing the constraints and administrative costs of insurance billing, we are able to keep our pricing simple, transparent, and often more affordable. Our exam fees are clearly listed, and any necessary diagnostic testing is included.

There are some excellent vision insurance plans available, and if you have one that truly works well for you, we encourage you to use it where you can receive the full benefit.

We have found many patients are surprised by how much they still pay out of pocket — even after contributing to a vision plan through payroll deductions. Copays, add-on testing fees, and limited allowances for glasses or contact lenses can make eye care feel more complicated and expensive.

If you need to set up a payment plan please do not hesitate to ask. Our goal is not to complicate your care — it is to make it clearer, more predictable, and centered around you.

Comprehensive Eye Exam

$100

• Thorough assessment of ocular health
• Glasses and/or contact lens prescription
• Retinal photography and OCT imaging when clinically indicated
• Personalized discussion of findings and treatment options

Membership Benefit:
Your comprehensive exam establishes a 24-month active membership. Active members receive discounted office visits and waived contact lens renewal fees.

Contact Lens Fitting Fee

A personalized fitting to ensure comfort, clarity, and long-term success with contact lenses.

Details:
• Charged during your initial fitting only
• Waived for active members at renewal
• Must be scheduled with a comprehensive exam

Specialty contact lens fittings (RGP, scleral, hybrid) are available. Pricing may vary depending on complexity.

*Fee is only for contact lens wearers and is in addition to the comprehensive exam fee. Cannot be booked as a stand alone service.

Medical Office Visit

$50

For specific concerns or ongoing condition monitoring.

Examples Include:
• Eye infections or red eye
• Eye pain or sudden vision changes
• Dry eye evaluation
• Monitoring of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic retinopathy

Office visits do not include glasses or contact lens prescriptions. Please schedule a comprehensive exam for updated prescriptions.

Chronic Condition Management

Diabetic Eye Monitoring: All diabetic patients and patients taking GLP-1 medications receive retinal photography and OCT imaging as part of their comprehensive exam to monitor early changes related to diabetic retinopathy at no additional charge.

Glaucoma Management: Equipped to diagnose and manage early to moderate glaucoma with personalized monitoring schedules and no added fees for necessary testing.

Macular Degeneration Monitoring: Ongoing management for early to moderate dry macular degeneration using advanced diagnostic technology, with clear guidance on follow-up care.

Cataract Evaluation & Surgical Co-Management

Assessment of cataract progression and coordination with surgical providers when needed. Patients may choose to complete post-operative care in our office for convenience.
